Padang Siantar, Walking With Love

Posted by Belibuku.web.id Kamis, 22 Desember 2011 0 komentar

This is my second time to West Sumatra. The first time in 2001 while still a student, I ride from Tanjung Priok Pelni ship and anchored to the Gulf Bayur. It was his walk to Bukittinggi, Lake Maninjau and who knows what beach I forget his name. On this second visit did not even have time to Bukittinggi, Lake Maninjau and beaches in West Sumatra. But a few hundred miles I traveled road trip, traveling the district. Tanah Datar, Kab. Fifty Cities, Kab. Solok, Kab. Sawahlunto, Kab. Sijunjung and some who had visited tourist attraction. To the extent that the skin melegam some degree, but it was fun walking my version.

Who first visited the Valley Harau. Two hours drive from Lintau Buo, where I stay. Lintau own 4-hour journey to travel from the city of Padang, through the hills and steep canyons during the trip. Too bad because I was late leaving, at 14.00, so in one day so this is only one object that I can visit. Harau Valley there are many beautiful waterfalls. When I arrived, the discharge water is not so big, so only the patter of water only when it got to the bottom. What is interesting for me to take it perjalananya dozens (hundreds if PP) kilometers to the Valley Haraunya. I also saw a rainbow in the Valley Falls Harau.

I am interested in the new Regent's office and local parliament who built majestically on a hill. Cool. The concept of out of town and apart from the hubbub of the city. Bekasi District, my district, too. Away from the malls and even in the middle of residential luxury.

At night when I got home from Harau, trapped by the rain and I spent hanging out in the Market Payakumbuh, eat while nyoba online. Understandably, in IM2 Lintau not get a signal. I nyobain bika cake, and drink ginger sekoteng. If you eat it plain, rice fields of the original stall in Padang. Could not sate in the Market nyoba Payakumbuh, yesterday was trying to Ajo Field Sate Park City Imam Bonjol, Padang.

Another attraction is the beautiful Grotto. If that is lived ngesot wrote of Lintau Buo. Bathing in hot springs and exploring the forest down to the Grotto as far as 1 kilometeran. There are wasps are bred on the cave walls are very steep and high. I could not nominated for her how do I harvest. And certainly very soothing natural atmosphere. Missing all the stress over the years. In the quiet woods and caves surrounded by high cliffs. Perfect!

When the District. Solok take hundreds (again) miles round trip, it was even visited by relatives who wanted to go. It's rather stupid, because dateng maen wrote without giving the news going in there. Lanjutlah to Lake Singkarak the length and breadth not imagine. Buy souvenirs Bilih fish, which only exist in the lake. 40,000, - half a kilo, overpriced not ya? Because no bargain at all.

Then do not complete it if not to the Palace Pagaruyung. The palace was burned and until now has not been opened for public entry into the palace. So it can only photographs on the surface. Pagaruyung is a district with Lintau, namely Tanah Datar.

And instead of me if only dateng to the attractions that tourists didatengin in general. There is always a place I was looking for, that other people do not usually come to the site.

There is a fort named Van Der Capellen. Not as good as the existing Rotterdam Museum La Galigonya, the fort was not much content in it, although it was built with the concept of museums such as Rotterdam, but the mini-museum. : P

When you get to the Citadel and even then, nobody was there. I mblusuk only inward, photographs, and finally left again. If I remember correctly, the year of manufacture 1804.

In addition to the Citadel, there is another old cemetery: Heritage Sites Ustano Rajo Alam. The shape is very different from his tombstone Tomb Kings Tallo in South Sulawesi, I've been to. Gravestone does not actually, because there are only a stone that looks like a Kujang, the typical weapon of West Java. At the front of the tomb, there is the tomb wrapped in yellow cloth. Boyfriend told me anyway, was the tomb of one of the highest standing there, king might be, but I have not had time googling to know details of attractions for the tomb site.

Next to the tomb, there is a huge banyan tree, with a bunch of monkeys playing underneath. My time is very limited, making me no time to try to come to the hordes of monkeys, whether benign or not.

And lastly, I have visited attraction is the Peak Pato. I can not stay long there because of the cold the same as at the top, not the cold nail bener deh. After the Peak Pato, I dikenalin same friends during her high school boyfriend who happened to be a small reunion of a sudden. Seneng, can walk into the field (again) and hope for years to come back again and share the story on this blog about the different attractions.

Parangkusumo, the Love Beach in Yogyakarta

Posted by Belibuku.web.id Sabtu, 10 Desember 2011 0 komentar

Upon entering the gate of Parangkusumo Beach, you will immediately feel the sacred nuance of the beach that is located around 30 kilometers south of Yogyakarta city and it is believed to be the entrance gate to the south ocean. You will soon smell the fragrance of flowers and incense as the materials of an offering; the nuance you will find nowhere but in this beach.

The sacredness of the place feels more distinct when you look at the scattered flowers and sets of offerings on the Love Stone that is located in Puri Cepuri complex where Panembahan Senopati and Queen of the South met and made an agreement. At that time, Senopati was meditating on the bigger stone in the north when Queen of the South approached him and sat on the smaller stone in the south.

The meeting between the two authorities had influence on the relationship between Yogyakarta Kingdom and Bale Sokodhomas Kingdom. It began when Senopati was perfecting his supernatural powers by doing the ritual of tapa ngeli or carrying himself away in the river. Arriving at a certain phase of his meditation, suddenly there was storm on the beach, trees were yanked out by its roots, the seawater was boiling and fish were thrown to the land.

The occurrence compelled the Queen of the South to show up on the surface of the ocean to see Senopati. Senopati expressed his ideal to govern Mataram and asked the Queen of South for her help. The Queen promised him the help with the conditions that Senopati and his descendants would be willing to become her husbands. Senopati took the conditions with the request that the marriage should not bear children.

The agreement made Yogyakarta Kingdom as one of Mataram frictions to have close relationship with the Kingdom of the South Ocean. The proof of such a relationship is the labuhan alit (giving an offering by throwing out certain things to the sea) that is done annually. One part of the labuhan ceremony is planting parts of Sultan's nails, hair and clothes in the area of Puri Cepuri. Please check with Yogyakarta tourism calendar in YogYES.com for this labuhan rite.

The meditation of Senopati that bore useful fruits caused many people to believe that any requests will be answered if they are said by the Love Stone. It is not surprising, therefore, hundreds of people from different classes and religions come to the place on certain days they consider sacred. Going in pilgrimage to the Love Stone is also believed to help someone to release heavy burdens from him and to give new life spirit.

In addition to the Love Stone and the labuhan procession, you can also enjoy the beauty of the beach and the breeze of the seashore on a horse-cart. You only have to pay IDR 20,000 for the pleasant ride.

There are many warongs where you can buy meals and drinks. Quite big numbers of visitors makes this area crowded every day, even until late at night. Some of them even spend the night in this beach to say their prayer. If you want to share the spiritual experience in Parangkusumo Beach, you can join the pilgrims praying.
