Gili Air The Enchanting and Charming

Gili Air is the smallest of Gili which exist on the island of Lombok, and it is closest to the Lombok mainland, making it popular with honeymoon couples and travelers seeking a quiet tourist attractions. It has a population of about one thousand and is administratively located in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This island offers snorkeling and scuba diving off the east coast, and turtles can be seen along the coral reefs.


Gili Air, the best place for sunbathing and snorkeling are along both sides of the diving equipment store with the name Boronang. There is a heat source about 10 meters below sea level which produces fresh water.



The water around Gili Air is obviously very clear as crystal, dazzling reefs have been partially damaged by dynamite and no fish, there is sometimes a danger that is the existence of jellyfish that force visitors out of the sea. The best place for snorkeling is the edge of the cliffs that surround the island.

On the west coast of Gili Air is not the best for swimming, tidal waves were actually quite high and dangerous for swimming but when it's really beautiful, warm and clear water. Beaches in the South East is deeper and better for swimming and good for snorkeling though you get tired quickly.



One of the most amazing thing about living in the west coast of Gili Air is the incredible sunset unfolds before your eyes every night.
